Position:\tProduction Supervisor
\nSalary:\tUp to $55k Depending on Experience
\nLocation:\tSouthern Elizabethtown, KY <\/p>\n
We are looking for a leadership candidate with solid manufacturing skills who will take charge of a production area within one of our client\u2019s location on the central Kentucky area.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities Include:
\n\u2022\tManage a group of 25-30 employees in a production area for steel products use for automotive and industrial applications.
\n\u2022\tAssist in the creation and management of manufacturing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring that machines are operating properly
\n\u2022\tHire, Train, Observe, and develop skills of assigned employees
\n\u2022\tResponsible for product\/process quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction
\n\u2022\tImplement lea manufacturing concepts as applicable including: kaizan, Kanban, poke yoke, 5S, etc.
\n\u2022\tAttain ISO certification
\n\u2022\tDrive production strategies to reduce product waste
\n\u2022\tCommunicate with team and enforce company policies and procedures
\nRequirements
\n\u2022\tAt least 1 year of production supervisory experience or related education
\n\u2022\tKnowledge of general machine operations and strong mechanical comprehension skills
\n\u2022\tAble to work in a fast paced environment
\n\u2022\tFlexible on shifts

This position includes working in a manufacturing and\/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts\/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
