An international manufacturing and distribution Company located in the northwest Chicago suburbs is searching for candidates to fill a Distribution Operations Assistant opportunity.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities Include:
\n\u2022\tVisit the warehouse on a daily basis to assist in operations
\n\u2022\tAssist Operations Team Leader with operational tasks
\n\u2022\tVerify if a misshipment has occurred and report it to team leader to rectify the situation
\n\u2022\tPrepare expedite requests and arrange heavy freight BOL
\n\u2022\tClose drop shipment, add freight fee and tracking#
\n\u2022\tConduct cycle count and spot count with warehouse staff
\n\u2022\tMonitor warehouse process on a daily basis
\n\u2022\tRuns and send Pick list to warehouse at the end of day
\n\u2022\tEstablish and maintain meaningful relationships with vendors to ensure smooth procurement
\n\u2022\tSupport other operations staff as needed
\n\u2022\tHelp Customs paper work to complete if needed<\/p>\n
Requirements
\n\u2022\tMust have at least a high school diploma or equivalent experience. College Degree Preferred
\n\u2022\tMust have good knowledge of and possess computer skills with software such as Excel or Word
\n\u2022\tAble to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English
\n\u2022\tPrevious experience at a global Logistics company is a huge plus
\n\u2022\tThis position will not support relocation costs
