An international Logistics company is seeking a Logistics Coordinato to join their team in the Portland, OR area.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities for this Logistics Coordinator:<\/p>\n
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
\nCoordinate all freight flow, clearance and delivery of import and export goods.
\nPlan and manage transport of all incoming and outgoing goods – air, ocean, and trucking
\nPrepare and processes all required documents by carriers
\nSupport operations department personnel in roles and responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
\nTrack incoming ocean cargo and domestic shipments
\nAnalyze transport costs and prepare quotes for invoicing
\nResolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
\nQualifications of the Logistics Coordinator :<\/p>\n
Freight forwarding experience in an office environment is a strong asset.
\nKnowledge of logistic procedures and optimization.
\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.
\nProficient in MS Office software, including email, word processing and spreadsheets.
\nThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds.
