An international automotive parts manufacturing company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I – Japanese & English Bilingual (Full-Time, Direct, $55,000.00) in Spartanburg, South Carolina.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer I – Japanese & English Bilingual:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Directs and coordinates manufacture or building of prototype products and systems.
\nDetermines component requirements appropriate to product.
\nDevelops designs for mechanical subsystems for mechanical components.
\nMay employ quality improvement and supplier relations approach utilizing customer required formats such as Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Production Quality Process (APQP) techniques.
\nConfer with research resources to clarify or resolve component problems.
\nPrepares information as needed in the design documentation process.
\nPrepares mechanical drawings, product and system related specifications, and Bills of Material (BOM). Accuracy of BOM must be confirmed.
\nConfirms availability and facilitate acquisition of new components for builds.
\nPlans, develops, and participates in experimentation and tests related to product development.
\nGenerates and analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
\nParticipates in development of design process procedure and plan development of experimental test programs.
\nDevelop test and design process procedures evaluating test results for possible application to other products and\/or systems.
\nWill assist in developing, participating in and analyzing research to determine feasibility of proposed product specifications.
\nProvides assistance and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
\nInterprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
\nPrepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
\nWill initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Requirements of Mechanical Engineer I – Japanese & English Bilingual:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, or the other engineering majors
\nBusiness level proficiency in both English and Japanese (Speaking, Writing, Reading)
\nPreferred to be able to read and write Japanese kanji at a fluent level. (Note: our scale for kanji fluency is based on being able to read 75% or more of a standard Japanese newspaper.)
\nProficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite ( Word, Excel and PowerPoint )
\nCommunication skills
\nManufacturing \/ Technical translating experience or other related filed experience preferred<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
