An international automotive parts manufacturing company is looking for a Production Control Manager – Japanese & English Bilingual in Manchester, TN area (Full-time, Salary, DOE: $75,000.00\/year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsibilities of Production Control Manager – Japanese & English Bilingual:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Develops methods to improve manufacturing processes, Lean Manufacturing, to achieve increased productivity, minimize tool costs, increase flexibility and reduction in setup time and product scrap.
\nMaintains and refines current operating procedures, equipment and process control procedures, and provide continuous training of floor personnel to facilitate operating efficiencies and costs reductions, Toyota Production System (TPS)
\nManufacturing planning – bringing newly developed piston products and processes into successful and profitable production. Keep abreast of and recommend new piston manufacturing methods\/equipment\/materials for use in developing new piston market and products opportunities for future.
\nReviews and recommends appropriate piston equipment repairs and\/or design modifications.
\nDetermines the cause of customer complaints through investigation and experimentation, and suggest and monitor corrective action to eliminate customer performance\/quality complaints.
\nEnsures production targets are met by assigning operators\u2019 tasks and working with other departments.
\nEnsures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
\nConducts all supervisory responsibilities concerning the hiring, training, counseling and discipline, performance appraisal, and assigning\/prioritizing all work for subordinates.
\nEnsures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
\nBalances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
\nManages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
\nPlans and manages technical\/manpower capacity and consumables.
\nEnsures that teams and team members have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.
\nConducts individual and team coaching sessions to improve performance. Recognizes team accomplishments.

Requirements of Production Control Manager – Japanese & English Bilingual:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s degree in a business or related field and APICS Certification preferred
\nStrong mathematical and analytical skills
\n3+ years\u2019 experience in a Supervisory\/leadership role in an automotive manufacturing environment.
\nGood problem-solving skills
\nAbility to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines\/targets
\nAbility to identify and effectively resolve problems
\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and other computer applications\/programs
\nKnowledge of 5S\/TPS policies<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
