A Tier 1 automotive supplier located in the Metro-Detroit area is seeking an experienced Design Engineer.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities Include: <\/strong><\/p>\n

– Plans, performs, and manages design programs related to automotive industry
\n– Ensures product launch team meets design and development timing schedule
\n– Gathers data required to create drawings, reviews product drawings, and leads design review meetings
\n– Oversees change management for project regarding customer and team
\n– Works with engineering analysis group to ensure all aspects of design are met
\n– Performs value analysis\/value engineering throughout process of product development<\/p>\n

Qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>\n

– Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related degree
\n– 2-4 years\u2019 experience in engineering in the automotive or mechanical fields
\n– Experience in plastic injection molding
\n– Experience with lighting design
\n– Experience with DMFEAS, DVP\u2019s, GD&T, and SPC
\n– Ability to communicate fluently in verbal and written English
\n– Good communication skills and ability to maintain professional manner
