We are now seeking a motivated Safety Manager candidate for a global Chemical Industry in Austin, Texas.<\/p>\n
Summary of Responsibilities:
\nEstablish, develop and improve company\u2019s OSHA policies
\nEnsure company\u2019s safety procedures
\nReview and Audit Safety regulations and requirements
\nDevelop OSHA and Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines
\nPerform safety training based on OSHA standards, HAZOP requirements
\nOther duties as assigned<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) or equivalent
\nKnowledge in OSHA 1910.119 PSM standards, EPA, DOT, HAZOP, etc.
\nProficiency in P&IDs, PFD, and C&Es
\nHelpful Skills (API, NFPA, PSM software, etc.)
\nWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts\/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
\nAlso, this position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.<\/p>\n
