An International Tier-1 Automotive Supplier is looking for a motivated candidate to work in their Production Department. This is a rewarding position responsible for Improving Production Metrics and Processes as well as VA\/VE Improvements essential to the company’s business.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer :<\/strong><\/p>\n

Initiate and promote new methods for improving stamping processes
\nHold and attend meetings regarding process planning and provide adequate feedback and input
\nProvide engineering support for varying projects at other Domestic and International Plants
\nProvide constructive feedback regarding design issues that arise during the engineering of new parts and Production Equipment.
\nCreate cost estimates, determine wear and tear on machinery for proposed production, and offer up alternatives to improve processes
\nManage the transferring of equipment across multiple plants
\nExecute or implement Process Engineering methods to improve the overall operations of various lines such as: continuous improvement \/ continual improvement , Six Sigma methodologies, etc.<\/p>\n

Qualifications of Manufacturing Engineer :<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering or other related technical field
\nExperience in Production for an Automotive Parts Manufacturer Tier-1, OEM or Otherwise
\nStrong knowledge of or experience with blanking and transfer stamping presses preferred
\nAble to calculate the space required for proposed plant layouts
\nPrevious experience with performing cost estimations for various projects. Any kind of background with procurement, purchasing, or buying.
\nProcess engineering methodologies, continuous improvement \/ continual improvement, Six Sigma or KAIZEN
\nSalary: $65k Plus Comprehensive Benefits and Incentives<\/p>\n

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts\/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision<\/p>\n

This position is sometimes required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.We screen ALL Candidates to verify the validity of each applicant.<\/p>\n
