One of our clients, a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is in need of an Automated Controls Manager to join their group between Birmingham AL and Rome GA. <\/p>\n

Responsibilities for Automated Controls Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\tGuiding technicians on a daily basis with maintaining, repairing, and installation of all automated equipment.
\n\u2022\tKnowledgeable of heavy ton stamping presses, transfer presses, automation, robotic lines and standard \/ complex machinery.
\n\u2022\tResponsible for implementing and managing automation asset inventory
\n\u2022\tMaking spare parts management, program change logs, program back up data base and safety precautions as it pertains to automation.
\n\u2022\tOther duties include assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning of new production equipment, and product launches.
\nRequirements for Automated Controls Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\tMinimum 7-10 years industrial automation experience focused on automation controls and robotics.
\n\u2022\t3-5 years supervision experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
\n\u2022\tA degree in a related technical field such as Engineering or trade designation is preferred.
\n\u2022\tExtensive experience in programming, editing, and troubleshooting programmable controllers, primarily Allen Bradley.
\n\u2022\tAbility to troubleshoot multiple types of communication platforms (Ethernet, Control Net, Device Net, etc.).
\n\u2022\tAbility to program and manipulate operator interfaces.
\n\u2022\tExtensive knowledge of motor controls for both AC and DC equipment.
\n\u2022\tQualified candidate must be able to interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting control cabinets and general electrical circuits.
\n\u2022\tExperience with programming and troubleshooting six axis robots. (Kawasaki, Nachi, Motoman, etc.).
\n\u2022\tExperience with Medar Controls for Medium Frequency DC welding is a plus.
\n\u2022\tCandidate must have leadership ability and the ability to work well in a team environment.
\n\u2022\tThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts\/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
