One of our clients, a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, is in need of a Tooling Engineer to join their group between Birmingham AL and Rome GA.

\nResponsibilities for Lead Tooling Engineer :<\/strong>
\n\uf0a7\tManage all tool feasibility of all new design part
\n\uf0a7\tAttend design and review meeting to review product design
\n\uf0a7\tSupply Program Management with tooling requirements for customer approval
\n\uf0a7\tApprove all tooling designs to include Preliminary, Intermediate, and final design
\n\uf0a7\tAssure overall part feasibility for production purposes
\n\uf0a7\tWork closely with Production Control
\n\uf0a7\tFollow all Safety, Quality & Work Procedures for chemicals and operating equipment.
\n
\nQualifications for Lead Tooling Engineer :<\/strong>
\n\uf0a7\tBS in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline, plus 6 to 8 years of related manufacturing experience; OR
\n\uf0a7\tAssociate\u2019s Degree in Tool\/Die Technology, plus 8 to 10 years of related manufacturing experience; OR
\n\uf0a7\tJourneyman Tool\/Die Maker, plus 6 to 8 years of related manufacturing experience
\n\uf0a7\tExperience working with heavy metal stamping dies. (Progressive, Transfer, and Tandem)
\n\uf0a7\tGood mechanical abilities, including experience with hand tools.
\n\uf0a7\tFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, rotate jobs, or shifts.
\n\uf0a7\tExcellent written and verbal skills.
\n\uf0a7\tSuccessfully complete overhead crane training and maintain license.
\n\uf0a7\tMust be able to keep accurate die maintenance records.
\n\uf0a7\tWork well with others and establish a strong team ethic
\n\u2022\tThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts\/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
