A Global manufacturing company, is seeking candidate to coordinate from its North American Plant in the Memphis TN. area, for a Quality Engineer. This is an OEM supplier to a Major Automotive Company.

\nJob Responsibilities for Quality Engineer :
\n\u2022\tDevelop rating system and conduct audits according to TS 16949 guidelines and eliminate unsatisfactory suppliers.
\n\u2022\tConduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.
\n\u2022\tMaintain detailed records of supplier 8-D reports (establish timing for submission) and supplier improvement activities.
\n\u2022\tCollect and analyze data on technician inspection items, frequency and non-conforming material control.
\n\u2022\tDevelop, implement and maintain part-testing system to include layout schedule, weld integrity testing and part testing. Schedules must include part test cycle, responsibilities, and customer.
\n\u2022\tMaintain part quality to published standards by conducting daily audits of part inspection. The process includes not only part inspection, but also manufacturing process inspection.
\n\u2022\tIdentify and audit critical elements of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance.
\n\u2022\tImplement and develop training programs to improve Quality Assurance technician\u2019s skills.
\n\u2022\tMaintain and develop system to track all rework\/scrap\/repair parts.
\n\u2022\tPresent data at daily plant staff meeting.
\n\u2022\tMaintain control system for all receiving inspection to include a supplier audit system.
\n\u2022\tProvide verification of countermeasure effectiveness.
\n\u2022\tThe Quality Control Department is responsible to track and maintain 8-D information from customer non-conformances.
\n\u2022\tDevelop and maintain gauge control system, to include calibration, repair and maintenance.
\n\u2022\tMaintain accurate and detailed records for gauges. Gauge and instrument calibration must be performed based on TS 16949 requirements.
\n\u2022\tConduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.
\n\u2022\tIdentify and develop inspection procedures for vital parts to include check items, testing procedure and frequency.
\n\u2022\tConduct regular reviews to ensure inspection standards meet all print specifications.

\nRequirements for Quality Engineer :
\n\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in an Engineering field (or related discipline) with 2-3 years automotive manufacturing quality experience.
\n\u2022\t4-6 years of previous Quality Engineering Experience
\n\u2022\tDevelops and coordinates all activities of the Quality Control Department, including policies and attainment of business objectives.
\n\u2022\tObserve and follow rules and regulations.
\n\u2022\tMaintain satisfactory work area through implementation of 5S.
\n\u2022\tDevelop, implement and maintain part inspection standards.
\n\u2022\tInspection standards must include all critical part areas. All inspection standards must be reviewed periodically to control critical areas for part functional build. Inspection standards must control part quality for customer ease of assembly, with a minimum number of inspection points.
\n\u2022\tDevelop rating system and conduct audits according to TS 16949 guidelines and eliminate unsatisfactory suppliers.

\n\u2022\tLead by example; must demonstrate ability and willingness to perform a variety of duties, often changing priorities without loss of efficiency or composure.
\n\u2022\tMust have demonstrated ability to perform regular inspections in all areas of the business operations.
\n\u2022\tThe Quality Control Manager must be able to perform all job duties required of Quality Assurance staff in order to provide leadership and training.
\n\u2022\t Responsible to coordinate monthly customer visits. Senior Quality Engineer must make monthly visits are the absolute minimum. Quality problems or issue discussion must be arranged on an as-needed basis to ensure quality goals are met. Customer PPM charts must be maintained and displayed throughout the plant facility. PPM data must be accurate and match customer information.
\n\u2022\tNoise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
