Position: Testing Coordinator\/Driver Position for an Automotive Testing Project
\nCompensation: $16\/hr. (lodging is provided, mid-shift meals not covered)
\nJapanese language ability (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is a plus
\nTemporary Contract for 2-3 Months<\/p>\n
We are looking for safe and responsible testing coordinators to participate in a research project designed to test the next generation of automotive safety features. Japanese language ability (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) would be a plus. This is a unique opportunity to participate in research for cutting-edge products. A vehicle will be provided which has testing hardware installed. Candidates will be working as a Testing Coordinator and will monitor data while navigating for the driver following designated routes. This is a two-person team where you will switch from Coordinator to Driver every two hours. You will be testing in major U.S. cities while collecting data. You would need to be away from your home at least 8-weeks giving you a great opportunity to travel and see the country.<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\nMUST be able to be on the road, away from home, for up 12 weeks
\nMUST have at least an Associate\u2019s degree
\nMUST have a VERY clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
\nMUST be able to pass a background test and drug screening
\nMUST obey all traffic regulations and speed limits during testing
\nMUST be able to work up to 40 hours per week, coordinating at least 7 hours a day (there will be a 15-minute break every 2 hours and a 30-minute to 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
\nJapanese language ability (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is a plus<\/p>\n
Responsibilities as a Coordinator:
\nCoordinate pre-mapped routes with specific directions made on Google maps
\nOperate testing equipment
\nBe mindful of changes in weather and road conditions
\nReact appropriately to any traffic problems that may arise
\nMaintain cleanliness inside vehicle at all times
\nCommunicate with back office support in our Chicago office to report the status and discuss any issues or changes
\nCreate daily reports detailing the days testing (on Word and Excel)
\nAbility to perform minor troubleshooting of technical issues
